Push-Back Racking Wanted

Push-back racking uses nested carts on inclined rails -- a forklift loads a pallet, which pushes the pallet in front of it back one position on the rail. When pallets are removed from the front, gravity brings the next one forward. It's a last-in-first-out (LIFO) system that stores pallets 2-6 deep per lane while still allowing single-side forklift access.

Typical push-back systems run 2 to 5 pallets deep per lane, though some systems go deeper. Depth is a design choice balancing storage density against selectivity (how many different SKUs you can access without digging through a lane) -- deeper lanes store more but give you less flexibility.

Push-back cart systems typically integrate with standard selective-rack uprights and beams, but the carts and rails themselves are a specific system component -- check that the cart width matches your bay width and beam spacing before buying used push-back components separately from the frame.
