UNITED STATES TRANSIT TIMES
- Container Exchanger has partnered with industry-leading freight brokers to ensure fast and accurate delivery at a significant discount. With 400+ state-of-the-art terminals nationwide, our brokers provide accurate online tracking and shipment visibility, from initial pickup to final delivery. Container Exchanger proudly provides unsurpassed efficiency and impeccable delivery times to ensure customer satisfaction. Tracking numbers will always be provided when available; if not, the Container Exchanger Logistics Department is only a click or call away.
- Transit times do vary and are based on the origination and delivery addresses. Most shipments are in the 2-4 business day transit window, beginning on the day the order ships from the shipper (not from the day the order is placed).
CANADIAN TRANSIT TIMES
- Container Exchanger utilizes the same trusted freight brokers for the most efficient and economical delivery of your merchandise. These agreements give Container Exchanger greater reach and faster delivery to more parts of Canada.
- Container Exchanger takes the guesswork out of international shipping and Customs clearance. Our Logistics Department allows us to give our customers door-to-door rates and handle the paperwork and fees associated with cross-border shipping, at your request. You may also request to use your own Customs broker during checkout, or when speaking to our knowledgeable Sales team.
SHIPPING COSTS
- Shipping costs are determined based on the size, weight, class, and destination of the order, along with any additional special service charges necessary for delivery. Shipping charges are estimated before checkout. This is denoted by the “Estimate Shipping” button and can be found on the “My Cart” page. Final shipping costs will be shown before payment during the checkout process. Special services may carry an additional charge.
DELIVERY EXPECTATIONS
- It is expected that the final recipient will unload the products from the truck when it arrives at the delivery address, unless other arrangements have been made before shipping. A loading dock, forklift, or pallet jack may be required. If the recipient does not have a loading dock or the equipment necessary to unload the order from the truck, it may be necessary to select a special delivery service in addition to standard shipping charges. Container Exchanger can assist with any questions you may have about your location.
SPECIAL SERVICES (ACCESSORIALS)
- Our freight brokers offer additional services (for an extra charge) that may be necessary depending on the specifics of your delivery location. It is the customer's responsibility to choose the proper special services during checkout. If the proper service level is not selected, the delivery may be delayed or incur significant additional charges.
- Special delivery services offered by Container Exchanger include Residential Delivery, Lift-gate Service, and Limited Access Delivery. Special services are not mutually exclusive, and a combination of services may be necessary to ensure proper delivery of your order. Container Exchanger can easily help you decide what special services you may need.
RESIDENTIAL/NON-COMMERCIAL DELIVERY
- Residential delivery locations may include (but are not limited to): private residences, apartment complexes, dormitories, businesses located near a private residence, farm, or ranch that are not open to the walk-in public during normal business hours. Pickup and delivery service to residences will be made to the front door, back door, or inside the garage. If your destination qualifies as ”Residential” (typically any business located within 200 feet of a residence, farm, etc.), it is necessary to select the proper service level during checkout to ensure proper delivery.
LIFT-GATE SERVICE
- A lift-gate is a foldable platform attached to the back of the truck that will physically lower your order to the ground. The truck driver will use that and a pallet jack to place your order on the ground. You are responsible for bringing it inside. If you do not have a loading dock or a forklift, you will need a lift-gate and must select this option during checkout.
INSIDE DELIVERY
- If you do not have personnel to unload the truck, you may elect to have the truck driver bring it inside your location. Drivers typically will bring their own pallet jack and unload within 10-20 feet of the rear of the truck. Depending on the carrier, a lift-gate may be required for unloading.
LIMITED ACCESS LOCATIONS
- Some locations including (but not limited to): storage units, places of worship, schools, gated commercial establishments, construction sites, fairs/carnivals, prisons, military base/installations, airports, rural areas, and businesses located at a private residence, farm or ranch that are not open to the walk-in public during normal business hours, may be considered “Limited Access”. If your delivery destination is considered “Limited Access”, it requires additional coordination between the recipient and the freight company. There is an additional fee for this service, and is required from the shipping choices provided during checkout. If you are unsure if your location requires “Limited Access”, Container Exchanger can assist.
DELIVERY APPOINTMENTS
- Some deliveries require a scheduled appointment. If this is needed, the driver will contact the recipient directly to set up a delivery date and time.
UNDELIVERABLE ORDERS
- If the order is undeliverable, Container Exchanger will contact the buyer and attempt to resolve the issue, prior to having the goods returned to the shipper.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- If the special services listed above do not include your particular location, Container Exchanger can assist you in identifying exactly what you need for a seamless transaction.
