How Many Pallets Deep Does Drive-In Racking Typically Go?

Drive-in lanes commonly run 3 to 10+ pallets deep, limited mainly by forklift reach and facility layout rather than the racking itself. Deeper lanes maximize density but mean more handling to reach pallets stored toward the back.

What Should I Check Before Buying Used Drive-In Rail/Rack Components?

Check the rail/arm condition for bends or forklift-strike damage (common on drive-in systems since trucks operate inside the lane), confirm the pallet-support arm spacing matches your pallet footprint, and verify upright and beam capacity against your actual load weight.
