Full Truckload Lot of Like New Specialized Oversized Industrial Shipping/Storage Racks
Collapsible industrial steel stillage (or metal pallet cage). These are the workhorses of manufacturing
and logistics, specifically designed for high-density storage and heavy-duty transport.
Performance Specs:
• Dynamic Load (Moving): ~3,000 lbs.
• Static Load (Floor): ~4,500 lbs.
• Stacking: Usually rated to be stacked 3-high when full or 15–20 high when collapsed (KD).
• KD (Knock-Down): They fold flat for efficient shipping.
• Size: 90" length is ideal for long components or oversized equipment.
• Condition: Gently Used & Stored Indoors.
• Collapsible Design: Notice the hinges and locking pins on the corner posts. These allow the sides
to fold down flat when the rack is empty, saving massive amounts of space during "deadhead" (empty)
return shipping.
• Stackable: The feet are shaped to "nest" onto the top corners of another rack. This allows you to
stack them several high in a warehouse, utilizing vertical space without needing permanent racking.
• Structural Square Tube Steel: Strong and lightweight.
• Triangulated Bracing: The "X" and "V" patterns on the sides provide lateral stability. This
prevents the rack from shearing or buckling when loaded with several thousand pounds of material.
Common Use Cases:
These are typically found in automotive or heavy machinery assembly lines. They are used for:
• Work-in-Progress (WIP): Moving large batches of metal stampings or castings between stations.
• Bulk Parts Shipping: Transporting heavy components (like engines or transmissions) from a
supplier to an OEM.
• Line-Side Storage: Acting as a "bin" that sits right next to an assembly worker for easy access to
parts.
Safety Check:
If you are planning to use or stack these, always ensure all locking pins are fully engaged before loading;
a partially locked hinge is a major structural hazard.
